Red Grouse

The Red Grouse is a moorland bird with a large rage across Northern England, parts of Wales, and Scotland and Northern Europe. It has a distinctive colour which is the same all year around (it doesn't change colour in winter unlike Ptarmigan and Willow Grouse which turn white).  A common site when out walking on the moors, indeed many moors are called "Grouse Moors" due to the fact that it has been breed for shooting.
