Common Lizard

Common Lizards are relatively easy to see on hot summer days.  I have had good views at Bradgate Park in Leicestershire (great spot for red deer) and at Stumpshaw Fen in Norfolk (great place for Swallowtail butterflies).

The easiest time to photograph common Lizards is in the spring as they begin to warm themselves in the sun, when they can be approached and photographed with care without any disturbance.  Whilst later in the summer when the temperature is warmer, they will often run off when approached.
