This is another Skipper which has a small
wingspan it is just 30 mm across rather than 28
mm for Essex Skipper and 25 mm for the tiny
Lulworth Skipper. therefore the way to
tell them apart is habitat, geographic location,
wing pattern and antenna tips. The small skipper is however very similar in many ways to the the Essex Skipper and the main way to tell the two species apart is it's Orange antenna tips, tells this species apart from the Essex Skipper which has orange antennae with black tips. |
