Pearl Bordered Fritillary
 
I have previously seen a Small Pearl Bordered Fritillary (SPBF) in the Wyre Forrest in August 2008, but only managed a few poor pictures.

A week in Scotland in June / July 2009, doing a bit of walking also gave the opportunity to view and get a few pictures of some Scottish wildlife.
I was pleased to see quite a few Small Pearl Bordered Fritillaries about 9even if very few of them actually stopped long enough for a picture)

The exception was this lovely specimen pictured in the nature trail at the Ben Lawers national park.
