Above is two pictures from Twywell Hills and Dales Country Park in Northamptonshire in May 2009, a great place for quite a few species of butterfly and moth.

These pictures below were taken in May 2008, when I spent a day with my friend Roger Wasley targeting some of Gloucestershire's spring butterflies.  these pictures were taken at Edge Common near Painswick in Gloucestershire which is also a good site for the rare Duke of Burgundy.

It was too windy for any great pictures, but we had a great day seeing a total of 12 species during the day.  Thanks to Roger for his expert butterfly skills.
