Adonis Blue

The Adonis Blue is another of Britain's meadowland butterflies that is found on sunny south facing slopes in the south of England. It is also found in Europe in similar ground where due to the warmer weather it is more common.

These pictures were taken at Ballard Down near Swanage in Dorset where despite being there on a lovely warm July day, it was to windy for good photographs.
