Whist in India we visited this reserve that is justifiably listed as a world heritage site

although the weather was foggy, I was pleased with how close
we got with these bird photos

the Hoopee was a bird that we regularly saw
throughout India, including at Keoladeo

It is a bird that I was keen to see in Africa but did not see,
therefore I was very pleased to see in India.
This picture was taken at the Red Fort in Agra on Christmas day
(all other pictures on this page were taken at Keoladeo)

These are a regular migrant to Britain with a handful of birds visiting us each year
(including some in the West Midlands in October 2006 that I managed to get much better pictures)
