New Year in Arctic Norway

A few days in a very cold Norway produced good views of White-tailed Eagles.

Unfortunately the light was far to poor to get any good photographs.
The pictures below were taken at 1600 ISO as it was so dark.  Even with 1600 ISO, the maximum shutter speed I was able to achieve was 125th of a second.   I also had to increase the exposure by one full stop because of the blue sky and snow.
The resulting photos then had to be filtered for noise as part of the workflow process.

Great views, but such a shame I could not get any shutter speed.

The picture of me below was taken using fill in flash, it was much darker on the boat in the snow.
