Pine Marten's
one of my favourite mammals

The Pine Marten is largely a species of old Scottish woodland
although there are reports of some in parts of the English Lake
district and in Wales. They tend to be very shy and very wary of man but are sometimes visitors to bird tables. I have seen Pine Martens several times in the wild and have managed to get pictures on two occasions |

This is one of two Martins that visited us regularly during a week spent in the Killfinnan area
Below are some pictures of
the
four Pine Marten's that we saw in the Loch Sunart area of
Ardnamurchan Peninsula were visiting a bird table were they knew
they would get a "free" meal.
Pictures in rain and poor light 1600 ISO as no flash, so reasonable results
considering.
