Bee Orchids are reasonably common and I have seen them recently at several sites whilst out looking for butterflies to photograph.

I saw a small group of about 5 Bee Orchids at Strumpshaw Fen RSPB reserve near Norwich while looking for Swallowtail butterflies in June 2009.

I was pleased to see and take these pictures of a Bee Orchid in the wild in a meadow in the Ulverscroft / Herbert Meadow area of Leicestershire, which is where the photo below was taken.
