Various Swans
Whooper Swan
A visit to the the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust (WWT) at Welney was reasonably productive with Whopper Swans (as well as some Mute Swans (these pictures below aere from visits in both 2007 & 2008
A few Berwick around but
in the fields and certainly not within photographic range.
Welney is also an excellent place for Pochard.

Berwick Swan
A visit to the the Wildfowl and Wetland Trust (WWT) at Slimbridge produced over a hundred Berwick swans. As we had just had a cold spell this certainly helped as during November and early December 2007, the numbers don't rise until we have a some cold weather. I might get down again in January and hope to see an even larger number.

Mute Swan
Various pictures of Swans taken from several locations.

Black Swan
This Black Swan was viewed a
quite close range in Cley in Norfolk in 2006.
The Black Swan is relatively easy to see at quite a few locations in Britain.
It is not regarded as a "British species" as they originate from escaped captive
Black Swans. Originally Black Swans were an Australian species.
