Great Skua

I have seen Great Skua's at several locations over the years, but in 2008 on a visit to Fair Isle and Shetland, I managed to get much better pictures than I previously had of this species.  The pictures below come a variety of locations on Shetland including: Shetland (mainland) Unst, Noss, and Fair Isle. 

The Great Skua or "Bonxie" as it is known is relatively easy to photograph, and on several occasions we were lucky to have some blue sky which always improves the look of any pictures.
