Scaup

Lesser Scaup

A visit to Draycote Water in Warwickshire just before Christmas 2007 for the relatively long staying Lesser Scaup provided reasonable views. It was a bit overcast and the bird was asleep quite a bit but a few record shots were obtained.
Lesser Scaup is classed as "rare" by Birdguides UK.

Scaup

A distant and only half reasonable picture of a Scaup at Rutland Water.  Scaup are reasonably common at many of the Midlands reservoirs, but I have yet to get any close pictures.
