Redstart's
Black Redstart
A visit
to Blithfield Reservoir,
in Staffordshire provided productive as the main target
for my visit, the Black Redstart showing. It was
hard work, very cold and very windy. The Redstart was not showing very well, but it did show long enough for a few pics.
This is my first Redstart pictures (either Black or Common)
and my 168th species pictured on this site, as it was
spotted early January it is a new bird for me and a and a good
start to the year.
During
my visit to Blithfield Reservoir, I also saw three Ruddy
Duck, and again a few pictures were obtained, Ruddy Duck.
Although primarily I visited to see and photograph the Black
Redstart, I was pleased to also see the Ruddy Duck.

Common Redstart
I do not yet have any pictures of Common Redstart.
