Red Kite

While driving from The Black Isle to Strathpeffer in July 2007 we saw two Red Kites soaring across the road.  We stopped for to take some pictures and the lady from the nearby farm asked if we would like to view from her land so we got these excellent views of the kites soaring for many minutes around the surrounding area.  the lady also showed us where they had been nesting in a large Caledonian Pine tree a few months earlier.

A visit to the Red Kite feeding station in 2006 at Gigrin Farm near Rhayader in mid Wales produced some great views including the pictures below. It also produced good views of raven and Common Buzzard.
