Osprey
| Osprey's are relatively
easy to see at a variety of sites in both Scotland and England most summer's. These first pictures were taken in Speyside in the Cairngorm National park at a site where we saw 10 + Osprey's in a three hour period (there was a maximum of three Osprey's flying at any one time) |

Patience is finally rewarded with an Osprey catching a fish at about 100 metre range.

Leicestershire's Osprey's
I have seen at least four separate ospreys in Leicestershire at 2 separate sites, one being the well publicised nest at Rutland Water. Although long range, they are worth a visit if you are looking for English Ospreys or have not got the time to travel north to Scotland.
I will not disclose the other Leicestershire site as I am not sure if it has not been made public yet.

The Famous Loch Garten Osprey's
Osprey’s “EJ" and "
Henry” at Loch Garten, RSPB are two of the most famous Osprey's in the world

The picture's of EJ &
Henry are quite long range, but worth a visit.
There are many other locations to see Osprey's in
Scotland and England including
Rutland Water (just 45 minutes from my home) where I have only seen them as a
distant bird. Although I did get some excellent (if unexpected) Grass
Snake pictures in early June 2006 while at R.W. hoping for good Osprey views.
