Mediterranean Gull

The Mediterranean Gull  (Med Gull) is not as common as many of the gulls pictured on this page, but it is certainly not rare.

This bird was pictured at Hartlepool headland in October 2006, it shows all the classic identification of the Med Gull (white eye lids, dark eye mask, droppy red bill)

I must admit Gulls are not my favourite bird species, but I will endeavour to add more pictures of more species as the opportunity arises.  Indeed there seems to be a few rarities around most winters so hopefully I will come across a few in my travels.
