Herring Gull

Certainly one of the more common gulls by the coast and one which also gets very close to man

Below is two flight shots from Scotland's Western Isles taken in July 2007

These Gulls, nests and chicks were at St. Abbs on the English / Scottish border

below is a first Winter Herring Gull at Burg Head on the Moray coast
