Common Goldeneye

Common Goldeneye are reasonably common in good numbers each winter. But move about a lot on the water, and don't come as close as some of the other ducks.  although I am pleased with these shot's I am still waiting the chance to get that really good picture.

Barrows Goldeneye

During late 2006 and into 2007 there has been a long staying Barrows Goldeneye in central Scotland which I had hoped would still be in "photographable" range.  As seen on other pages on this site, I was in Scotland for two weeks in March 2007. But when I went looking, it was not showing............
Eventually after several visits I saw the bird (at fairly long range on Loch Vencachar) certainly nowhere near enough for photographers.

Hopefully eventually another bird will "appear" nearer to both my home (and my camera lens)
