Dunlin

Dunlin can look very striking in their summer plumage as these examples from the island of Fetlar north of Shetland show.

The photo below was also taken at Snetisham in Norfolk, in winter which is a great place to see large flocks of waders including Dunlin. They don't look as striking in their winter plumage
