Coot

A common bird that is usually not camera shy, even with young it is relatively easy to photograph.

But with a black coat and pink-white bill it is far from easy to get good well exposed good pictures.  With yellow and steel blue legs it has an interesting mix of colours.  these can be more dramatic in clod weather where the bird contrasts well against the white ice.
