Great Northern Diver

Although Diver's in winter plumage are relatively common on inland water during the winter, views of Divers in Breeding plumage are harder to view and photograph.  This particular bird was viewed on Rutland Water.

Red-throated Diver

A great bird, which with patience can be seen in the Cairngorms (where these pictures were taken),
It can also bee seen further North on some of Scotland's more remote lochans or northern coast.

Black-throated  Diver's

Although I have photo's of Black throated Diver's, they are not close enough or good enough to publish here.  However a Black-throated Diver in summer condition is one of Britain's most beautiful birds and as such they are high on my target list for any visit to Northern Scotland at the right time of year.
