Various Buntings
A few pictures of some of the many
Bunting species.
some species also have their own pages
Reed Bunting
A male Reed Bunting showing well at Martin Mere in Lancashire in April 2007

Yellowhammer
Another reasonably common bird in our
trees and hedgerows,
but I am still to get a really good picture of one.
this example was at Eyebrooke Reservoir in Leicestershire in April 2007
Cirl Bunting
A rare British bird that has suffered a huge decline over the past century but is making a bit of a come back in Devon. One of the better sites for Cirl Buntings is East Prawle in Devon where this male was photographed in May 2008.

Snow Bunting
A female Snow Bunting on Bein Eighe in Torridon. Pictured in early July 2007, very late for a Snow Bunting in Scotland (perhaps breeding?)
