Wilson's Phalarope
A few pictures of my first Phalarope. This bird was a female in breeding plumage that was at Grafham Water in Cambridgeshire over the May Day Bank holiday in 2007.
It was only 100 - 200 feet away but it is a small bird that was not easy to get any good shots. It was behind a chain fence, lots of thorny shrubs and pictured into the light. But my efforts produced the photo's below, although they are only of "record shot quality", I was very pleased to see the bird and at least get some pics.
