Myndd Mawr

small but worthwhile

I first climbed Myndd Mawr back in 1980's,
long before the days of digital cameras or web sites

the route I completed was the scramble up Craig Y Bera,
on a crisp winters morning however I have no pictures.

I saw Myndd Mawr in good light whilst stopping at Rhyd Dhu, and decided I would ascend it again

It looks lovely here
but was cloudy (but still good when we completed the walk)

The pictures below are from my walk up the easy south east ridge of
Myndd Mawr in Jan 2003

The walk pictured below starts in Rhyd Ddu
and follows the path through the forest before asending Crag Y bera
and along to Myndd Mawr

superb views back over Snowdon

gradually gaining height

approaching the summit

trying to keep warm is not easy in this cold
