Maeglase

a Welsh peak that very few have heard of
or climbed............

I climbed Maeglase (674 meters) one Sunday in April 2004 to complete a fine week ends walking having climbed Cader on the Saturday

the route starts at Ffridd Gulcwm farm just off the A470 road a couple of Km north of Dinas Mawddwy

It is a circular walk on good paths an passes a spectacular waterfall over the craig Maeglase crag before the gradual ascent to the summit.

lovely views and a good ridge

the waterfall (top picture) looked equally impressive
from it's top as it did from the valley

the summit was fairly rounded

but even so it was an excellent "short days" walk
