The Mamores
a rounded collection of ten Munro's and smaller peaks
that sit between the giants of the Nevis & Aonnachs range to the north
and the sharpe peaks of Aonach Eagach & Glencoe to the south

I have done two walks in this area
one in 1986 where I followed the superb walk in "the big walks" book
and in 2002 where I completed two peaks in an autumn day with weather ranging from hot sun to driving snow

when I completed this walk I did not have a camera

the only two pictures I have from this trip is this one looking towards Ben Nevis 4409 feet from the Mamore ridge it is scanned from a 35mm slide Stob Ban again scanned from a 35mm slide

the two peaks we climbed in October 2002 were Stob Ban & Mullach nan Coirean

very changeable weather all day

another summit with no view but plenty of sunlight!!!

by the time we can to descend we were again in fresh snow
