There are many peaks in many fine ridges in Glen Shiel

The three Munro's Aonach Meadhoin, Sgurr a' Bhealaich Dheirg & Saileag (collectively known as the "North Glen Shiel ridge"

the three Munro's of Carn ghluasaid, Sgurr nan Conbhairean, sail Chaorainn which along with the top of Drochaid an tuill Easaich make up "the Cluanie horseshoe"

Aonach Meadhoin (left in above picture and foreground in below picture) had two smaller peaks to ascend and cross before reaching the summit and ridge connecting to the other peaks : as such it considerable effort was needed

the route we took was - to be added.

ascent - approximately 1200m

time - 6 hours

finally the summit of Aonach Meadhoin

our second peak of Sgurr a' Bhealaich Dheirg,
had a much more of a scramble type feel

Sgurr a' Bhealaich Dheirg

the lower peak of Saileag

The Saddle
at 3314 feet
the Saddle might not be the highest hill around but it's famous
"Forcan ridge" is an excellent scramble

the five sisters of kintail is another fine walk in Glen Shiel
