and nearby Scottish Hills

this selection of hills on this page are those that get much attention
from the high starting point to the main ridge from the National trust car park

however there are many mountains in the group
with many other starting points

looking across towards the other
side of the pass is one of the finest
ridge walks in the area.

the ridge over Meall nan Tarmachan

lawers-103.jpg (10820 bytes)

although this the Tarmachan ridge
covers just one Munro
(against the five on the main Ben Lawers ridge), it is considered by many
to be a better mountaineering day out.
