Helvellyn

main ridge
one spring February day

Helvellyn main ridge
Stanah to Grisedsale Tarn

As I said on my general Helvellyn page, Helvellyn is probably the most visited mountain in The Lakes.
But on 17 Feb 2001 it was not particuarly crowded
(I have seen well over 200 people on it's summit on other days)
A great day for the seven summits on the main ridge

we walked the ridge
from Stanah over seven peaks to Grisedale Tarn

Raise - 2897 feet
White Side - 2832 feet
Lower Man (on Helvellyn) - 3033 feet
Helvellyn - 3118 feet
Nethermost Pike - 2922 feet
High Crag - 2903 feet
Dollywagon Pike - 2815 feet
