it was the first long distance path I walked back in 1980
following both PW & DW for a short while the Dales Way path combines with
the Pennine Way
towards the viaduct

some days the figure of walls crossed reached many dozen

not sure but I fancy some of the "challenge walks"
that are not official Long Distance footpaths (LDP's)

 

by far my favorite day on the Dales Way,
was day three

this was from Grange farm to Dent Head
a distance of 13.9 Miles
