I am involved with the DoE award scheme with Schools, Scouts
and Northamptonshire County Council Youth Services.

I am mainly involved with the training of both youngsters and leaders
in all types of mountain activities.
These include practical and theoretical aspects, of successful outdoor activities.
amongst topics covered are technical knowledge and planning
as well as working to increase awareness, enjoyment, and safety.

In past years, I have worked with young people doing various sections of the DoE award including :
expedition, Skill, and Physical sections.

These have been at all three levels (on Bronze, Silver and Gold)
Venues used include Long Myndd, The Peak District, Yorkshire Dales, and Glencoe
many of these expeditions have pictures on this site

Special Needs 2000 - special needs - expedition

Northamptonshire open gold expedition ~ Cairngorms July 2000

As in previous years during the year 2000, I am involved with a Northamptonshire County DoE panel expeditions.

It is proposed hold a Gold expedition to Scotland.   The expedition will be "open Gold"  i.e. open to any registered DoE participant.

The expedition will be in mid July in the Cairngorms area, further details will be online soon.  There will also be a web page or the expedition with pictures of the expedition shortly after returning.
