the DoE award

In July 2000 I went as an assessor with Northamptonshire County Council, open gold to Cairngorms.

There were two groups walking, both groups started their four day expedition from Blair Athol.  They walked up Glen Tilt to the meeting of the Dee at Corrour, this took two days.  From here they walked East (with each group walking a separate loop) before walking to Lin of Dee and along the Dee to finish at Braemar.

many hours were spent both at home and at the campsite before the start getting equipment ready for the walk !!
