each route must also have a route card, a route tracing, a height profile, and emergency information

Bradgate is the former country seat of the Grey family, which was famous for Lady Jane Grey, who was Queen of England for just nine days Bradgate has a large resident deer herd

Bradgate is the reasonably wild place that is ideal for navigation practice


it is very near to Leicester and Loughborough, and is also at a
low altitude, it is classed
as wild country and as such
is suitable for Bronze and Silver DoE
& BELA training

use of catching features
handrails
bearings
and
timing
the group is deciding their exact
position here using a
1 to 10-000 scale orienteering map
before attempting to find a
boulder marked on the map
but well obscured by braken
finding set features in the park
