Badeslade & Toms "Leicestershire" Thomas Badeslade flourished between about 1720 and 1745. He trained as a Surveyor and became a Map Maker. William Henry Toms
is known to have worked between around 1725 to 1758. The map is from the 2nd edition of their atlas published in 1745, although the maps bear the date 1742. It is believed that they were produced for King George II, who intended to make a tour of his Kingdom. worth around £50 |
