Petite Aiguille Verte
3508 meters

This is small mountain by Alpine standards, it is also an easy mountain to ascend.
However it is worthwhile for two reasons : one - it is a good refresher back into snow work and the use of an ice axe, and two - its situation and views of the Aig. Verte and the Drus.
It is another mountain that can be climbed in one day, this time a late start is still ok!!! The starting point is the Grands Montets cable car station, the ascent being about 200 metres. The grade is PD- but the short length of the climb makes this a much easier climb in real terms, and as such it is a good route to take a beginner on.
The route has a crevasse to cross before the final rocky summit and a lunch site that is breath taking.
