Yosemite

Yosemite, is one of California's top tourist attractions, the reason being the world famous valley in the nation park that is full of pine trees and mountains.

There are many famous peaks in the valley including El Capitan, Lost Arrow (climbed in the Eiger sanction movie) and perhaps the most famous of all Half Dome

Half Dome is shaped as it sounds a dome that has been split in half by geological events

it is covered with many routes to its summit including many hard climbs on its steer walls

however it can easily be climbed in one day from its "rounded side"
This is still quite steep climbing and involves the use of fixed ladders

once you reach the summit of Half Dome, it  is a very large high plateau of barren rock

as you can see from the pictures
the ascent of Half dome
is not a technically challenging climb,
but it is a worthwhile day out
it is a brief visit to the summit
of one of the worlds best known
rock climbing play grounds
