on the Zambezi
Just below the Victoria Falls
There
are many rivers that can be rafted in the world, I have been rafting in England, and in
America but the Zambezi is the best of them all, you can raft in two main types of raft : I have tried both, but decided in Africa to go for the one oarsman method and take along a camera (whilst the oarsman is steering the rest of the group then goes to the area of the raft that the oarsman says to help with weight balance and thus indirectly helping to steer) In my opinion it is more fun throwing yourself in different directions in the raft as it goes downstream. Due to high water levels we started a few miles downstream of the falls but never the less the rapids were huge, and any photograph in 2D is not the way to appreciate the sheer power of the Zambezi. |

| The weather was so hot
that even the soaking from the biggest waves did not matter as you dried in a matter of
minutes in the hot African sun. Given this fast drying time it is still not a good idea to capsize or fall in. The picture right shows why |
